As you are all aware of the current State and National emergency situation  the Tri-State Stewards School March 23 - 27 and the OPWU Spring Conference April 24 - 26 have been cancelled. The locals will be notified if these functions are re-scheduled sometime in 2020. The OPWU Member of the Year, Gloria Belvy Community Service Award and OPWU King-Valliere Scholarship winners will be announced in late April.

APWU President Dimondstein has banned all travel at this time. APWU at headquarters and in the Field has limited access to the daily delivery of mail, therefore they ask that effective immediately and until further notice, in addition to mailing hard copies, you electronically submit any time sensitive correspondence/files to the officer(s). 

Gov. DeWine has followed other states and issued a lockdown for Ohio from tonight March 23rd through April 6.

OPWU Officers and Business Agents will continue to function as normal with the exception of travel and face to face meetings. We here at the OPWU perform 99% of our Union representation duties by phone and internet due to logistics as that is the only way we can cover 500 offices in our jurisdiction.
